Deciphering
the file names - finding your way around here
When you click on one of the repositories below, you'll be presented
first with a choice of year. When you click on a year, you will
be given an option of html or MS Word. When you click on one of
these options, you'll be presented a
list of file names that contain minutes. The files have either
been scanned in from
paper or from the original digital media. We then save them in a
number of
ways. And of course there is a naming convention that will
help you find what you are looking for. Here is the key:
year month day group.format or
yyyymmddgroup.format
The formats that may be available are:
.doc or .DOC = Microsoft Word files - probably the best if your
computer can handle them
.html or htm = Web browser viewable files - almost as good as
above,
but doesn't require Word
.pdf Portable Document format - big files (longer download
time) but essentially a photocopy of the original paper
for example:
20000101LTBMin.doc would be a Microsoft Word file of the January 1st,
2000
Board of Trustee's meeting minutes
20000101LTBAppMin.doc would be the board
approved Microsoft Word file of the January 1st,
2000
Board of Trustee's meeting minutes.
20031013pc.html would be a web browserable
version of the Planning
Commission meeting of October 13, 2003.
